35 mm of Silence
35mm of Silence is a photobook that reframes travel and memory through the lens of sound, sequencing seven years of 35mm film. For this self-published project the images are organized through four sound categories: Presence, Murmurs, Interruptions, and Resonance.
Printed on matte paper with subtle inkjet tonality and layered with vellum moments, the book’s material construction mirrors the way memories overlap and sound waves echo. Its red leather cover and exposed spine reference personal travel journals, positioning the project as both object and narrative. These choices invite readers to slow down, listen beyond the frame, and experience each page as a quiet intersection of image and sound.
