THE HOUSE WITH FIVE ROOMS
The House of Five Rooms is a multimedia design project and installation exploring family, identity, and multilingual communication through five handmade books that together construct a house. Each book functions as a room containing the essence of a different family member, using language, materiality, and spatial narrative to reflect how memory and communication shift across relationships and cultural systems. Rooted in my experience growing up in a multilingual Catalan–Japanese family, the project treats language as a layered and overlapping structure rather than a fixed system.
